I was a primary school teacher for 21 years until 1998 .
I now spend my time indulging my passion for making things. I paint, carve, make
lovespoons, draw and make beaded jewellery .
My pictures often spill out over the mount as a regular rectangular or square shaped
mount or frame is too restricting.
I have also been incorporating threads and beads into images painted with acrylic
paints on canvas, as well as into my images printed on to cotton or silk.
I have always been fascinated by the sea and as I now live in Southerndown within
sight and sound of the coast, I am concentrating on exploring the ever-changing colours,
moods and patterns in my paintings , prints and jewellery to try to communicate
my feelings and emotions connected with the ocean.
