In 2007 The Silures Art Group decided to illustrate some of the stories from The Mabinogion.

Each artist was given part of the story to illustrate in their own way. These pictures were gathered together to make an exhibition which was shown in The Silures Gallery Porthcawl, St Donat’s Art Centre and Theatr Brycheiniog Brecon.

Matholwch’s swineherds had gone down to the seashore and came back with tales of seeing a forest growing out of the sea.

Branwen and Matholwch ‘s joy knew no limit when Gwern was born.

Pwyll met Arawn’s  beautiful Queen who wore a silk dress of bright gold and they attended a wonderful banquet.

Pwyll struck Hagfan such a blow that his shield split in two and Hagfan was taken by the Other World.
